أدانت اللجنة الدولية لحقوق الإنسان (مكتب جنيف) التفجير الذي وقع نهار السبت الواقع في ٢٢ أيلول ٢٠١٨ في مدينة الأهواز والذي وقع خلال عرض عسكري للجيش الإيراني من قبل أربعة مسلحين (٤) أودى بحياة ستة وعشرون شخصاً وجريح ستون (٦٠) شخص ومن ضمنهم عددا من النساء والأطفال كانوا متواجدين في المكان لمشاهدة الإستعراض.
وتقدمت اللجنة من السلطات الإيرانية وعوئل الشهداء راجين الكشف عن الملابسات للحادث الأليم.
وفي سياق متصل أشار مكتب مفوض الشرق الأوسط للجنة الدكتور هيثم ابو سعيد لوكالة الأنباء الدولية لحقوق الإنسان أنه يمتلك معلومات عن الجهة المنفذة وإلى الجهة التي ينتمون إليها، وبناء عليه طالب كل الجهات تهدئة الأوضاع في الإقليمي الشرق أوسطي وضبط النفس من كل الفرقاء والإتفاق على إجتراح الصيغ التوافقية.
